- When you arrive at Kotoka International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted at your convenience. Then, you’ll enjoy a ride in an air-conditioned vehicle with a refreshing AKWAABA (welcome) drink. If time allows, we’ll take you on a brief city tour of Accra to help you get to know the area.

Day 2 :
Accra City Exploration, Accra Cooking Class
- Start your heritage adventure by exploring Ghana’s independence history at the Kwame Nkrumah Monument, Ghana National Museum, and Independence Square. Next, visit historic Jamestown and Ussher Fort, two of Accra’s oldest districts. Shop at Makola Market for a variety of local products. Enjoy drumming lessons at the Arts Center, then visit the W.E.B. Du Bois Center to celebrate Pan-African culture.
- Next, visit Auntie K’s family home for a cooking lesson on local dishes. Choose from popular options like Jollof Rice, Kelewele, Waakye with Beef Tomato Stew, Banku with Okra Stew, Rice Balls with Palm Nut or Groundnut Soup, and Fufu with various soups. You can select your dishes in advance for a personalized experience (available for an extra fee).
- To wrap up your tour, head to the trendy Oxford Street for an exciting night out and get a taste of Accra’s vibrant nightlife! Please note that nightlife expenses will be covered out of pocket.

Volta River Adventure, Dodi Island
- Start your day with an early morning trip to the Volta River for a full day of adventure. Arrive in Akosombo by 8:30 AM to meet your guide and prepare for exciting riverside activities. Don’t forget to pack for a day of fun!
- Your adventure starts with a challenging 2km hike to Trident Peak. Get ready for an exciting paintball battle (10 people and above). Then, enjoy a 4km kayaking trip around the island, paddling through beautiful scenery. For more thrills, try abseiling down the impressive 100-ft Vulcan Rock.
- When you arrive in Atimpoku, take a moment to admire the Adomi Bridge, Ghana’s only steel arch bridge. Enjoy a refreshing motorboat ride on the Volta River before settling into your resort. If you arrive on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, you can pay extra to visit Dodi Island, a great spot for relaxation. Dodi Island offers Boat Cruises that sail on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00 AM for a peaceful experience. Don’t miss the night cruise on Sundays at 9:00 PM for stunning views and a lively atmosphere.

- Next, visit a women’s pottery cooperative in Kpando. Hidden in the forest is the Kpando Fesi Shed, a women’s pottery cooperative creating handmade ceramic pieces with a unique black patina and detailed textures. - Then, visit a cocoa farm. You get to tour the farm, learn about the cocoa production process and experience a hands-on demonstration of how cocoa pods are cultivated and processed. After that, return to your hotel in Kumasi to end a day of art and tradition.
